Hey! Mixed week for me. Had my grans funeral on tuesday so caught up with family I don’t see often/ever. Short week at work and the plan was for my friend and I to go through to edinburgh then stay over, but working out too expensive so we had a day out in Glasgow instead. Home and watching The Penguin!!

Aye, funerals are weird like that. Sorry to hear about your gran. Was she a sweet old deary, or a grannie wioot a filter? My Granny took me to see The Singing Kettle up in Thurso I do mind

And Edinburgh is far too expensive to overnight in. Cheap hotels on the edge of town don’t really exist, it’s out in Livi or Dunfermline really. Very little east or south of it even. You can see why AirBnB is so popular for the city

My gran had opinions!! She was a matriarch. Had 5 kids but lots of fall outs within the family! She was 92 years old and fit as a fiddle. Last time she was in hospital was 58 years ago when she was having her youngest!! She had a good long life!

We didnt mind paying a bit for a hotel but almost 300 quid for less than 24 hrs seemed ridiculous!!! I don’t think i’d use air bnb! Day out in Glasgow worked out fine!!
