This is a little suprising to me… yes, unquestionably and your use of “now” there makes me think you’re very young (NOT derogatory)

As with any slur it’s use and user are what make it (un)acceptable so I don’t take issue with it in progressive spaces, but I can understand why, with the internet’s pseudo-anonimity, ppl could be made uncomfortable by a stranger saying it. I don’t see what the harm in being cautious with language is in a feminist & pro-queer community. And I don’t like the inclination to struggle against changes in language…

I don’t need to tell you “X is a slur now?” is a very common reactionary impulse I think.
