I’m not super well versed in British politics but isn’t she basically the British Ronald Regan?

And if you’re not familiar with Reagan, let’s just say I hope Trump gets buried next to him so I can piss on both their graves at the same time.

She went to war with unions and the working class. Destroyed workers rights, used the police to antagonise and dismantle strikes, left towns and cities in economic decline. She screwed a LOT of people. Many hate her here.

Don’t forget about privatising British Rail, turning one of the best rail systems in the world into complete shambles

Before I say anything else I’ll make it clear I think the for profit prison system is one of the worst atrocities modern humans are responsible for, but…

Whether it works depends entirely on which end you’re on. The owners would say it’s not in shambles at all but working exactly as intended.

It’s funny because for the last four years Republicans have been complaining about the current president’s cognitive ability (which one could argue has some credit, but that depends on who you ask), but in 1994, six years after Ronald Regan, the single most “conservative” president until Trump came around, was fucking diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. The National Institute of Health did a study on his speeches and manarisms in the last few years of his presidency.

President Reagan showed a significant reduction in the number of unique words over time and a significant increase in conversational fillers and non-specific nouns over time.

(Full transparency, I only read the abstract.)

In 2011, his son came out and said he noticed his father’s declining mental state as early as his first term.
