FWIW, they already abandoned this idiotic idea.
They should still continue to be viciously mocked for it, because it’s horrific and dystopian, and someone absolutely will try it again at some point.
But in case anyone was wondering, it’s not currently set to be a thing.
Wasn’t there something about a US supermarket chain looking into something similar too? I vaguely remember running into a post on Lemmy
