Just got my visa approved, im so excited. Never done a solo trip before so this will hopefully be something completely different. Also, never been this far away when traveling without my family. Been googling a lot about Vietnam and what you can do and it seems like a really interesting country. AHH can’t wait

(made this in beehaw first, but since they defederated i decided to post it somewhere else)

Oh, good luck and enjoy yourself. Travaling on your own certainly is something different. One week is not a lot for Vietnam, so decide what you really want to do.

I did not get around to do it, but everyone said it was the best thing in Vietnam so check out if you’re interested in the Ha Giang Loop.

Edit: oh, you said in a week, not for a week. Anyhow.

Haha, a week would be quite short for such a long flight. I was planning on doing the Ha Giang Loop, since everyone says that you should do it!

Beehaw defederated? Did I miss some drama?

That’s awesome about Vietnam! I’ve never been there but we did briefly visit Thailand next door and it was pretty cool.

      Yeah they did “lemmy.world” and “sh.itjust.works” :(

I’ve been to Thailand once, and it’s really pretty. Hopefully Vietnam is similar or even cooler!

I think traveling alone is such a great challenge and adventure. It’s really relaxing actually, to be able to just do what you want, when you want.

Traveling with a trusted partner is also great, but I wish I could solo travel more often. Somewhat ironically, I’ve made so many friends when traveling solo.

    Good luck on your trip!
