“Mass Deportation Now!” declared the signs at the Republican National Convention, giving a full embrace to Donald Trump’s pledge to expel millions of migrants in the largest deportation program in American history.
Some Republicans aren’t quite ready for that.
Lauren B. Peña, a Republican activist from Texas, said that hearing Trump’s calls for mass deportations, as well as terms like “illegals” and “invasion” thrown around at the convention, made her feel uncomfortable. Like some Republicans in Congress who have advanced balanced approaches to immigration, she hopes Trump is just blustering.
“He’s not meaning to go and deport every family that crosses the border, he means deport the criminals and the sex offenders,” Peña said.
Reminds me of the Trump supporter that was surprised when her undocumented husband got deported.
They’re hurting the wrong people.
What always gets me about this, is that they want to hurt people. That’s not even disputed.
Like, can we just acknowledge how shitty of a person you have to be to start from that position in life?
member of Leopard Eating Faces party is surprised when leopards say they are going to eat her face
She doesn’t realize that they consider all brown-skinned immigrants as the “bad ones.”
Hell, they don’t even have to be immigrants. They’re planning on deporting US citizens who are born to the undocumented.
They’ll probably pull some bs from the Bible about punishing up to the third and fourth generation.
Wouldn’t that include trump himself?
There’ll be a carve out for oppressed orange people with over 30 felony convictions
These people want nothing less than genocide of all minorities
They been slowly ramping up to it for a while while saying “never again” and acting like their massive caches of guns were for standing up to a potential fascist. Turns out. They’re big fans of fascism and when they said “never again” the full sentence was “never again will anyone stop us”
There are no moderate conservatives. Every single one of them either wants genocide and other atrocities, or maybe doesn’t actively wish for genocide but as long as it doesn’t affect them they’re going to keep voting for the people pushing for genocide anyhow
It’s amazing how much these people think their political views are normal.
The scary part is that they are normal for something like 30% of the population of not more
It’s more like 30% of eligible voters in the US.
START WITH MELANIA
Melania:
Yes Donald, please keep running your mouth until Texas is in play.
Even a purple Texas is better than the hot garbage of leadership we have here now. So yes, please Donald. Talk your way into having Colin Allred as our senator. Ted Cruz is so terrible.
The US population, unlike countries like Japan and China, grew last year. All because of immigration. Like it or not we need these people or the decrease in service we’ve experienced from covid will accelerate.
Like it or not we need these people
Nah, we don’t need food and housing. Deport 'em all!
I’m all for mass deportation. Of Trump voters. Just send them somewhere miserable.
For a lot of them, they’re probably already there
Do you support war? To the frontlines you go!
Do you support mass deportations ? Out of the country you go!
What if you’re only supporting the war for the profit it generates? I don’t think they’re sending any of the C-suite at Raytheon or Northrop Grumman are at any risk of being called up.
Did I stutter?
It’s a cute little retort, but we all know the 50 old line manager at Lockheed Martin bomb making factory isn’t getting within a thousand miles of an actual combat zone.
And Trump won’t get deported. What’s your point? I stated how it should be and not how it is.
That’s one way to get rid of Melania
