You’re forgetting one thing. Trump was in charge of the country last time and couldn’t pull it off.
This time the military and the police will be ready, and you know that any trooper that’s even half way suspected of mixed loyalties will be reassigned to a safe post.
While I can believe that, I also hope that support is kinda spread around and mixed in. So they would find themselves choosing between Trump and loyalty to their unit.
Basically, no matter which side wins, this is ending in a civil war. Hopefully it’s one of those really short wars that last not even an hour

I wouldn’t be so sure of that last part. A huge portion of the military is pro trump. Maybe not the majority, but definitely a plurality.
He’s alienated the top people. Gen Mattis was one of the most respected leaders. He worked for Trump and was then let go.
