If you want to torture yourself… on this night, July 18, 2024 former WWE CEO Linda McMahon will be giving a rah rah Trump speech at the RNC. She was seen talking with him at last nights We Love the Don Con. Hulk Hogan is also on today’s list of speakers.

Edit 2: Apparently, I like torture… I refused to watch the early parts with Linda, so no idea what she did. But Brother let me tell you something Brother Jack, Trumpamania is gonna run wild on America and make it great again, and more schlocky bullshit. Hulk Hogan was fired up and out of breath, he has been followed up with by Franklin Graham… a televangelist nepobaby who thanks God for saving Trump from that bullet so he can make America remember it’s Freedoms. I may or may not return for the Dana White.
Ya know, today’s my birthday, if I have to add that to today’s possible festivities I’m gonna rank it just below ‘rubbing my scrotum on a mandoline and having sashimi for brunch’ on the possibility scale.
Maybe a couple spots lower.

also for no reason whatsoever i’d just like to remind everyone that famous wrestler hulk hogan (real name terry gene bollea) sued gawker to silence them after they revealed a video tape of him showing how much he hated black people.
Minor administrative update that I don’t think anyone is going to argue with so I’m just gonna do it: I’m removing the references and link to kbin as our backup community from the sidebar. The site is dead, Ernest may be too by all appearances and his statement that he was gonna pass it off to someone else doesn’t look like it ever actually came to pass.
It’s clear at this point that we probably don’t need a backup community anyway as lemmy.zip is managed quite well on the tech end.
Definitely looks abandoned, the GitHub shows no updates in 7 months, the Kbin.pub site is also offline. I’ll pour one out for it, it was my preferred instance, but it’s dead and has been since before we left it apparently.
Not surprising. I hope Ernest is okay, though. Despite how it ended up, it’s still what got the ball rolling. Rest in peace, kbin. o7

I was at North’s Thunderstruck 2 show at the weekend, see the full card below, which was at the same venue as TNA’s Turning Point in 2023.
Really solid show front to back, and while I’m somewhat biased, they continue to put on some of the best live shows I’ve seen. If you have Fite+ (or whatever it’s called now) you’ll be able to watch it there in a week or so.

Yeah, was really good, Leon vs DeReiss was incredible.
I feel like I say this after every match, but Leon just gets better and better. TNA are so lucky to have him.

Did anybody scan that QR code? I’m somewhat curious but not enough to scan it because this is the internet.
The one on the left, unless if changed, led to some animal rights kind of site/video (the usual ‘look how the animals are mistreated’ type iirc). Least that’s what I recall someone saying on the Canvas Matrix chat. The right, no clue.
The one on the left is Dominion the Movie, a PETA like thing about how meat bad, animals treated bad, don’t eat meat. The one on the right is Elwoods Dog Meat, which is the same idea, you wouldn’t eat a dog, why eat other animals. If I used my phones camera as it will show me the domain it’s going to without going, then I searched the domain name to get a summary of what they were.
