I’m also working with the lemmy.world admins to get photon hosted there 👀

I made this post to ask, what do you want to see in photon now?

    • An option to choose how far back the Top sort goes. Currently, it defaults to All Time, with no (obvious) option to change it without editing the URL.
    • Maybe a cookie to save the toolbar collapsed stage?
    • Limited markdown (or at least links) in post titles.
    • An indicator (maybe similar to the Active/Hot/Top/New selector) to show which of the communities in the sidebar you are on.
    • A button on posts marked NSFW to show a preview on the feed without opening the full post. As a random example, on https://photon.xylight.dev/c/imaginarycosmere@sffa.community, many posts are marked NSFW for spoilers. It would be nice to be able to click on the images to show them inline with the feed.
    • This is totally unimportant, but I like how some clients fade off the text (based on vertical height) when truncating rather than simply cutting it off past a certain character.
    • I know it’s on the roadmap, but I also hope you can add a markdown toolbar.
