I make aeropress at home, been my go-to for years. My taste in beans never really left the 90s though I do enjoy a fruity brew once in a while.

I know where the best dry cortado w/ oat-milk is in the Minneapolis - St Paul area.

A soft spot for a not-too-sweet miel.

Help me plan my “can’t regret not doing that” coffee list?

Edit to answer some similar questions all at once: I’m not going to talk about my medical situation here, but yes, it was at the advice of a doctor. Decaf is a possibility, but I e been down that road before and it tastes like disappointment, even with today’s improvements; maybe once in a while, though.

If it is any reassurance, it’s a fairly brief and mild withdrawal. In my experience the symptoms were gone by day 3, which was a lot easier than the 7 solid days of hell I went through when quitting nicotine.

What is your reason for quitting it? I feel like that might be important context. I quit recently because I recognize that it is not good for my cardiovascular health.

Can you drink decaf? There’s quite a few good ones out there, and you can play with preparation to make it how you like it

Something ridiculous like kopi luwak, or siphon brewed coffee.

Places that have those probably have other ridiculous things, so ask the baristas for recommendations.

Love this. I know just the place, and hard to believe I haven’t been there yet. I wonder if they make a cortado

it’s closer to a cappuccino, really. If you can make good espresso (I mean, really good espresso) and are an old hand at the foamer, sure. Yes, it’s a simple thing, like olive oil and bread, with a wide range of possible outcomes that still fit the general description.

Where is the best dry cortado in MSP?

I think it’s called the Iron Horse Cafe? On University near 280. Decor is just over the line to too modern for me, but it has the best cortado I’ve tried (out of about 20, in my spreadsheet phase)

Sadly I don’t know where to look for it right now.

But remember that kid on /r/Ireland who ranked all the hot chocolates in Galway? I hope he shows up here sometime.
