The World Bank has upgraded Russia from an “upper-middle-income” to a “high-income” country with per-capita gross national income (GNI) totaling $14,250 in 2023. “Economic activity in Russia was influenced by a large increase in military-related activity in 2023,” the international financial institution said Monday. Russia’s move up the ranks was also boosted by growth in trade (+6.8%), the financial sector (+8.7%), and construction (+6.6%), according to the U.S.-based institution. “These factors led to increases in both real (3.6%) and nominal (10.9%) GDP, and Russia’s Atlas GNI per capita grew by 11.2%,” it said.
@kboy101222 That’s probably Friendica and Lemmy getting very confused with each other’s formatting. It seems to be using the profile redirect as the URL. There are other oddities when they interact that I should report on their issue tracker by the way, thanks for letting me know.
@nekandro You heard it guys, they can afford another round of sanctions
just one more sanction, bro. i promise bro just one more sanction and it’ll fix everything bro.
I wonder who even downvote you, must be some World Bank haters XD
BRICS really limits the amount of impact a western sanction has. US/Europe isn’t the only game in town by a long shot.
(not trying to get into a debate about the merits of such, just talking factually)
So, unrelated to the thread, but your server shows up like this for me! on Sync. I’m just curious if you configured the setting “wrong” (or intentionally like that) or if I should file a bug report for Sync
I believe that’s how Mastadon users show up on Lemmy
@MrQuallzin @kboy101222 Close enough, it’s Friendica. I’m not sure if Mastodon users show up correctly on Lemmy in this case…
Ah, right, I forgot about Mastodon existing!
for me it just shows the URL
