This whole debate seems like such a mistake/gamble on both sides. The press is going to run wild with any “senility-looking” blunders either candidate makes. I dunno why either party agreed to a debate. We are already very familiar with both candidates.

If you watched the first one you’d know why.

I’m watching just to see Biden tell trump to shut the fuck up again.

      Trump got his ass kicked.

I lived in a very rural area back then, I know a friend whose family was all watching that debate together in their living room, all hard-core Trump supporters of course. That debate literally made them so sad they turned off the TV mid debate, it broke my friend free from being a MAGA diehard.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Biden campaign saw something like that reflected in polling, even marginally, and is trying to recreate it.

They’ll probably just delay pressing it until it’s too late. Hey! Maybe they can get Merrick Garland to be in charge of the button!

Trump will continue talking, it’ll be interesting to see if Biden’s mic picks it up, or if it’s still distracting to Biden (despite being inaudible to us).

Feels like a blunder. Westerners/ Americans generally look left to right (because of the way we read). They also lost the closing statement. The headline seems stupid at first, but I think this is a blunder by the Biden campaign. It’s a small one, but this is going to be a close election. Every decision matters.

The entire Biden campaign is “not Trump”. The most powerful closing statement Biden can make is to let Trump spout gibberish until getting abruptly cut off by the shot caller in the video booth.

        2024: “Not Trump”

        2020: “Not Trump”

        2016: “Not Trump”

God I’m tired of it. I know its the better option, lesser of two evils, I’m going to vote for Biden if I live to November, but we act shocked when we get evil when we vote for lesser evil.

he’s really not as bad as the whiners make him out to be. He’s not Bernie Sanders, sure, but few are.

        • I keep seeing posts like this, about how bad Biden is. What has Biden done that is so bad? I mean, I don’t wake up to some batshit crazy bullshit that the president did every single day like it was with the guy that has 34 felonies. I feel he’s been a great president, he sure had his hands full fixing shit from the previous president*, and has to deal with the bullshit from people like that jewis space lasers dipshit and the handy in the theater trash.

How about being an authoritarian right winger who is funding a certain state to commit Holocaust 2.0

No hes not nearly as bad as Trump, Xi. Putin. But thats an incredible low bar.

If only Bernie got a chance.

-he’s moved to the right on immigration reform, going so far as to had republicans legislation that is basically what they wanted.

-Israel. Genocide. Basically sucking Netanyahu off like a goober.

-failed his promise to protect voting rights.

-failed his promise to codify RvW.

-the environmental/climate change is mostly corporate subsidies; the progressive stuff in the passed legislation wasn’t his. It was pushed for by progressive congresspeople.

-his economy is really only benefiting corporations and rich people, the average American is still hurting… not that he’s noticed… he seems to think we’re all corporations and rich people they way he talks.

            • That’s it? That’s what makes him sooo EVIL?? Jesus Christ, you should be praising him because if you get tRump again, you’ll find out what evil really is. This is just fox “news” bullshit.

You asked, I answered. That trump is infinitely worse doesn’t make Biden not-evil.

Which. Case in point, supporting genocide is fucking evil. Full stop. There is no “oh but so and so would support it more, so it’s okay.” That’s a fucked up argument. And you fucking know it.

It doesn’t make Biden beyond reproach.

It’s intellectually dishonest and morally reprehensible.

“He’s murdered people and failed to protect the rights of Americans.”

                “Uhh… so?”

God do you people just like to sound like dismissive pricks to bloodshed or is it second nature to selling your soul to a party?

vote for anyone who will verifiably support ranked choice or instant run-off voting. not an absolute cure, but one of our most powerful weapons moving forward.

I think they did this to play against the left vs the right.

Biden doesn’t care about progressives, if they are against trump then those votes are already secured.

He is right wing and wants to appear more representable to conservatives to get their votes.

Its pure token symbolism but i bet it does have a noticeable effect in how the candidates are perceived.

This is an awful, awful move by the Biden campaign. He can only lose. Giving Trump legitimacy is a huge mistake. He’s a fucking traitor and the president of the United States should not be debating him.

Nevermind the fact that Trump doesn’t really debate he just spews diarrhea.

  • Can’t imagine it being the other way.

Journalist: “How will you fight rising property crime?”

Trump: (incoherent rambling that ends with how sexy Ivanka is)

By the time Biden starts talking, we’d be stunned by whatever the hell Trump was saying to focus.

So we take a shot everytime trump blurts a unverified anecdote starting with ‘many experts say’, ‘most people agree’, ‘disaster’, ‘make america great again’, 'ronald Reagan’s, ‘abe lincoln’ and so forth?
