I don’t think Dems like leftists very much either, considering how the Democratic Party has treated all candidates who are even remotely left of center, and how they basically shout at leftists that “they’re supporting Nazis if they won’t support their genocide.”

I’m a leftist, and I vote for the lesser evil out of harm reduction, with no hope of positive change and just not to be indirectly responsible for there being more political scapegoating by fascists as we collapse due to unchecked encouraged worshipped capitalist greed.

I just wish the Neoliberals would stop pretending a vote for their cocktail of “socially left, economically whatever Wall Street wants” is going to fix anything. Its a vote for “this is fine.” which is infinitely better than “hate race/religion/sexuality X, they’re why you’re miserable!” but still not helpful.

Most of the social issue symptoms we scream at each other about are either caused by or greatly exacerbated by the economy Americans don’t get a vote on, as the Neoliberals and the fascists are looooong since legally bribed and paid for with the same economic policy marching orders.

I just wish we could be honest about our elections and what we do and don’t get a choice on instead of the absolutely absurdist marketing, another side effect of our socioeconomic greed disease.

Do we want to collapse as we destroy our only habitat (for humans don’t worry, even we can’t sterilize the earth) and any societal framework between one another with® or without(D) a side of race/religious/gender equity wars in the streets being stoked by our greed class captured government?

That’s all you have to say. Id rather not have that side dish, so I’m voting Biden again.

I’ll vote for harm reduction if it comes down to it but if democrats want an endorsement they’ll have to do more than what they’re doing now.

I’m not obligated to encourage anyone to vote for the lesser evil so long as the lesser evil still has an opportunity to be less evil.

Wow. Literally saying the quiet part out loud - “As long as the Democrats are not 100% in line with my views, it’s okay to endorse inaction and the takeover of a fascist regime on the pretext that the Democrats Aren’t Good Enough™”

A lack of endorsement for a thing =! endorsement for the opposite thing

Oh, when there are only two possible choices, it very much is, whether or not you want to confront that. If there is an infant drowning in an ankle-deep pool in front of you, doing anything other than saving the infant is endorsing its death.

Before you is a very simple and very easy choice - fascism, or non-fascism. Yet your kind reject non-fascism, every single time. Curious.

Oh, when there are only two possible choices

Actually in this context there’s at least 4:

                  • vote for a candidate AND endorse voting for the candidate
                  • don’t vote for a candidate AND don’t endorse voting for the candidate
                  • vote for a candidate AND don’t endorse voting for the candidate
                  • don’t vote for a candidate AND endorse voting for the candidate

Nobody has actually ‘voted’ for a candidate yet, all anyone has done thus far is endorse or not endorse voting for a candidate. Just as a reminder:

I’ll vote for harm reduction if it comes down to it

Depends on the Democrats you’re talking about.

The conservative Obstructionist Democrats are the only ones I have an issue with. By contrast, AOC, Jamaal Bowman, Summer Lee etc. all Democrats I can work with, np.

AOC unfortunately showed her true colors recently when confronted by pro-palestine protestors. Very disappointing. Luckily Bernie has been nothing but consistent.

Not sure what you’re referring to, she’s been a consist voice for the student protestors and Palestine. You’ll need to be specific.

AOC is still fine, and has started accumulating actual power for the progressive caucus through her weilding of funding. That’s why there’s constant attempts to make her out to be some phoney, she’s effective.

Do not try and bend the democrat; that’s impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth… there is no progressive democrat. Then you’ll see that it is not the democrat that bends; it is only yourself.

Leftists to the democrats as they’re both being led to a small room underground with a sloping drain in the back and a Trump 2028 banner on the wall:

    “This is all your fault.”

The point isn’t who’s fault it is. The point is that both of them will be going up against the wall if trump wins. Laying blame won’t save either of them.

In this metaphor, The cops are coming to shoot you and your neighbor so they can take your pit bull down to the shelter and let him play with all the cats there.

The pit bull is fine and will remain fine. The pit bull loves the cops and can’t wait to be let off the leash for real.

I literally don’t know the difference. I see so many different political affiliations. Would either of these people be considered liberals? Honest question.

Depends on how you’re used to using ‘liberal’. By the US usage of liberal (“anyone who is not a conservative or reactionary”), both of these are liberals. But leftists often object to the term, using liberal in an older (and to some degree, more international) sense to mean supporters of market economies.

I get nearly as much hate from them as I do from conservatives
