As Jenny Nicholson’s video essays usually are, it is rather light on politics (in comparison to other stuff posted on Ghazi), but this video is perhaps a near-perfect showcase of out-of-touch executives bungling what should have been a easy success.

This video started as a a review of a kitschy hotel that ended with a slow burn review of the enshittification of Disney parks. This essay puts clearly what my Disney freak friends have been mumbling about after paying for the trip.

The worst part is that she name drops 2 other parks that are fractions of the price and equal to the experience. Imagine paying over a thousand dollars per person per night and only getting a broken iPhone app to play in regular Disneyworld? Disney is broken now.

This is a long one but excellent. Watched the whole thing. It’s a great look at how current Disney parks are run.

      Phucke indeed.

Anyway… I sat through the four hours. A bit slow at times, but totally worth it. Which is more than I’m hearing about the price of admission at Disney parks now.

So many things stand out, but the one little detail that really drives the point home when trying to describe the video to my wife and friends, is how guests paid 3000 dlls a night, and in their Disney park hotel room television, Disney+ was not free and open, you had to log in with your own account, or sign up and pay.

I said the same when it came up the other day, as I generally don’t watch anything longer then 30mins or so on YouTube. But I put it in the background while I was working and ended up into the whole thing.

She seems like she does a decent format.

It’s broken into chapters so you can skip a part if you are uninterested, or want to resume. There are also relatively few parts that require you to see what is in the video so you can have it on while doing something else, (but you might miss out on the costume changes.)
