    To get people who are on the fence to try it.

    I’m not a fan of vegan or vegetarian proteins being labeled like their actual meat counterparts. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for eating less meat, but frankly the vast majority of meat alternatives labeled with their real-world counterpart’s names pretty much suck or at least taste very little like them. That can be a quick turn-off to people trying it out to see if they want to change.

    There absolutely are good vegan and vegetarian foods, but they need to be prepared by someone who knows what they’re doing. There’s a vegan restaurant near me that makes a vegan bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich that is absolutely amazing and actually makes a really good pass for what it looks like except they label it as what it is. Tofu scramble, etc. You know what you’re getting, so expectations are a little more open.
