This category of glitch has been common in many types of games. It occurs to me that if someone ever, intentionally or unintentionally, triggers it in TOTK, they’ll just end up in The Depths.

That’s how the speed-runners currently beat the game, they clip to the final fight just under Hyrule castle. There is a glitch named “zuggling” that allows you to “smuggle” many weapons equipped at the same time. You do this enough times and the game starts having memory issues so you just get on a steering stick and you start clipping all the way down to the depths.

I was in the cart ride cave and decided to ascend to leave and entered a nether world below the mountains where I could see the vector “map”? I was swimming around in water that should not have been there. This was before the update that fixed the dupe glitches.

I’m not sure that’s true. Just because the game world maps are built to overlay doesn’t mean they’re loaded at the same time; we’re not sure if that would trigger a depths loading or not (it very well might)

So what happens if you clip through the ground in the Depths?

The speedrunner Limcube does say he has to be careful not to glitch through the bottom of the depths.
