She’s a republican.
“Fuck you, I got mine!” Is the GOP motto, after all.
There was zero doubt in my mind, but thanks for confirming
What an amazing time to be alive that those few words are providing all the required context.
My first thought after reading it “huh, a republiclown for sure”. Not disappointed.
Conservatives voting against their interests isn’t just an American thing… of course her interests likely don’t actually involve Ukraine but instead revolve around that sweet sweet slush fund money.
Ukraine should strip her of her passport and bar her from ever setting foot in the country.
To become a us citizen you have to renounce your other citizenships. So unless she later became a Ukraine citizen again, she no longer is.
Edit: It appears I am wrong about this. I’ve heard it several times before though.
To become a us citizen you have to renounce your other citizenships
Dunno who told you this, but it isn’t true.
When you become a naturalized citizen of the US you have to renounce your allegiance to other countries, but you don’t have to give up your other citizenship.
Take a moment and reflect on this post. Is there anything else somebody told you and you repeat it without asking “is this true?”
Yes, I’m clearly a horrible monster for believing something I’ve heard several places. No other person alive could ever have committed such atrocities, and I need a lecture from someone who has certainly never done something like this.
lol reflection isn’t some punishment for murderers, its something everybody should do as a type of mental exercise. No need to be dramatic.
well as long as you heard something several times
I’m not sure you are wrong. I’ve seen a room full of people recite the oath of allegiance. I don’t know if it’s legally binding or not, but it absolutely looks like a renoucement to me.
I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.
You can’t have more than 2,but you can have dual citizenship.
Is the fact she was born in the Soviet Union supposed to have any impact on whatever nationalism or patriotism she should have as a representative of an American legislative district?
Exactly. Nobody needs to swear fealty to the place they were born, especially politicians.
Looking at her voting record, I’m not sure she’s for the American people either…
She actually officially wasn’t going to run for re-election but it seems she jumped back in because she thought her potential replacements would be worse.
So that’s pretty much how things are going in deep red America.
Spartz is a wealthy Republican landowner.
Conservatives, like cockroaches, don’t care about anyone. Not even their own. They exist for themselves only and are incapable of benefitting anyone else unless it serves themselves first.
Conservatism is sociopathy.
I’m sorry, that is denigrating to cockroaches. They make excellent parents.
“I got mine, fuck you” strikes again.

This is the best summary I could come up with:
(AP) — U.S. Rep. Victoria Spartz, the first and only Ukrainian-born member of Congress, emerged early on as a natural advocate for supporting her native country in its war with Russia.
She’s locked in a tough reelection fight in the May 7 GOP primary, made all the more complicated by her public announcement more than a year ago that she wouldn’t seek another term, a decision she later reversed.
The aid package, part of a larger bill that also included assistance for Israel, Taiwan and other global hot spots, was approved by the House on April 20, the Senate on Tuesday and signed into law by President Joe Biden on Wednesday.
Mike Murphy, a former Indiana state representative and political commentator, said in a phone interview that funding for Ukraine isn’t much of a priority for Republican voters these days.
Goodrich, who attended the Sheridan event, acknowledged that Indiana is far from Mexico but said illegal drugs such as fentanyl enter the U.S. through the southern border and pose a threat deep in the heartland.
For an entire year, that left the runway clear for candidates to campaign in one of most conservative districts in the state, composed of a mix of rural and suburban counties north of Indianapolis.
The original article contains 982 words, the summary contains 209 words. Saved 79%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!
Where is her extended family?
Are they threatened by Russia in Ukraine or kidnapped?
Why are you asking a bot?
They’re not, they’re asking you, the reader of the thread, to cast light upon the situation… but you chose differently.
Thanks

The GOP found their token.
The original article contains 982 words, the summary contains 5 words. Saved 99%.
Typical Government of Putin shitbags. Spatz should be thrown into the frontline, but she might run to the Muscovite side. The fucking border is a low priority issue, because Putin’s Fucking Sock Puppet failed to complete the wall project and deported fewer illegals than former President Obama or aka “The Deporter-in-Chief.”
Not every person born in Ukraine has to support the US sending money and weapons to Ukraine. And often immigrants have more of an attachment to their adoptive home than where they were born…the people super committed to their home country don’t leave in the first place.
I disagree with a vote against funds for Ukraine but that is a disagreement on its own merits, I disagree because I want funding for Ukraine. Doesn’t matter that she was born there.
SAD!
