The US allegedly spent a billion dollars intercepting these missiles.

Meanwhile, Ukraine is all out of air defense and only Germany seems to be sending an extra patriot on the short-term.

As a European, I think the wakeup call is to start taking European security more seriously, since the USA seems to have other priorities.

Well, let’s see the results from the US House this week. Chances are that Ukraine aid will pass.

It was the building next door. Diplomatic law is practiced by the ICC. If Iran has a problem with it, that’s where they go. But they won’t because it was the building next door and not the embassy

It was a consulate which is also covered by the Geneva convention as all diplomatic missions are. There really isn’t a significant distinction here.

No, it was a building next to the consulate. The Geneva convention has nothing to do with it. As I said Diplomtic law is part of international law.

I don’t think you understand. There were two buildings, the embassy and the consulate. The embassy was not directly hit, the consulate was.

                https://www.latimes.com/world-nation/story/2024-04-01/syria-says-deadly-israeli-airstrike-destroyed-irans-consular-building-in-damascus

While Iran’s consular building was leveled in the attack, according to Syria’s state news agency, its main embassy building remained intact. Still, the Iranian ambassador’s residence was inside the consular building.

Also looks like the Vienna Convention defines diplomatic missions not the Geneva Convention. My bad.

JERUSALEM, April 12 (Reuters) - Israel on Friday braced for an attack by Iran or its proxies as warnings grew of retaliation for the killing last week of a senior officer in Iran’s embassy in Damascus.

And a source that it’s not just one building so everything else is cool to be blown up.

A large embassy can have many buildings. The main embassy building is called the chancery, and additional buildings are called annexes. As the public faces of the United States in host countries, embassies are often architectural works of art. In some countries, American staff may live on the embassy compound for safety.

Posed In an S onOe>A large embassy can have many buildings

Yes, and they have to be declared. Not only that but six commanders meeting is not a consult service, and that’s all that is supposed to go on in an embassey. It was not declared.

Iran has killed a lot of Americans. They are not your friend, brother. They’re not even friends with the people of Iran.

Seriously. The wake up call is that our friends might do something really dumb and rope us into some absolute BS. Who needs enemies
