Bought it a couple of days ago and already racked up a few hours of play. It’s pretty good and it feels more like soulstone survivors than vampire survivor. I have to say tho, it lacks interesting upgrades that enable ‘weird’ builds, most upgrades are simply stat boosts or element swaps.

Definitely agree, it’s had a great start but needs a lot more content to be considered a full game and not just an entertaining side piece in the Deep Rock Galactic world.

New maps, new objectives, new monsters, new weapons, new powerups, new challenges, endless modes and leaderboards, might even want to think about a pvp mode where the enemy controls the bugs, choosing how and when to release them with cooldowns/abilities.

What’s an example of an upgrade in another similar game that enables a “weird” build?

Vampire survivors has arcanas, they are all good examples but to name one, there is an arcana that makes certain weapons scale off armor. 20 mins till dawn has a lot of those too, many upgrades allow for powers to be used in completely different builds, for example: the dragon egg is a pet ‘weapon’ type but you can take an upgrade that makes your main weapon gain a % of dmg from the dragon’s dmg, making it usable for weapon dmg builds.
