I used to live in a small boring town, but there was a tribal casino not too far from where we lived. I admit we’d (my husband and I) go put in $20 at the slots sometimes on a Friday. We were realistic about losing money, but since it went to the tribe we didn’t really care. It was entertainment and just a nice change of scenery in the bleak winter. I know it can be an addiction though for some people.
That’s the key, isn’t it. If you’re got twenty dollars or twenty quid in your pocket - so long as you enjoy it and you can afford to lose it, you’re fine.
If one or both of those don’t hold true though, there’s an issue.

Yeah, thanks for posting those links. I had an uncle with a horrible gambling addiction, so I know what it can do.
