I’m guessing you were diagnosed in the 80s or 90s because ADD is the same thing as ADHD, they just changed the name. Sometimes I’ve heard people use ADD for the primarily inattentive type of ADHD (as in the space cadet rather than hyperactive variety), but I don’t think that distinction has ever been used clinically.
