Another video covering the unfolding scandal around the Youtuber James Somerton. Somerton had attracted attention as a critical voice covering queer content and stories, but it turned out that most of his videos had heavily plagiarized other people’s research.
Todd in the Shadows, usually covering music, takes a thorough look at Somerton’s videos and uncovers the half-truth and outright misinformation that Somerton had spread while making big bucks.
At least in this case, Todd in the Shadows talked with HBomberguy before releasing anything, even though he is covering different ground. But going by the (low) standards of Youtube nowadays, it really doesn’t surprise me that HBomberguy’s video gets plagiarized too.
