I grew tired of bad “Top 10 Linux distros in ${CURRENT_YEAR}” articles so I wrote one that I would consider useful myself when starting out.
For a beginner, I’d recommend Zorin OS.
The UI is sleek, easy to use, easy to navigate. It’s based on Ubuntu so it’s easy to find solutions. It’s also very customizable : you can have the default windows layout, the mac layout, ubuntu layout, etc.
