So there appear to be two brand new guitar communities, one here and one at midwest.social. I think we’re all probably getting used to how the fediverse version of this kind of social media works, so maybe two aren’t necessary?
Anyway, posting to both to see what kind of traction/interactions I get
This is a recent build I did, and it’s super fun to play:
- Warmoth neck
- Nomoonlaser body
- Bootstrap pickups
- Hipshot tuners
- Fender hardware otherwise, though the pickguard is from some random dude on ebay, and it thankfully fit perfectly.
Go home Tele, you’re drunk! Looks sweet dude.
Someone also started a whole music production focused instance, https://lemmy.studio, and created !guitar@lemmy.studio there too. This instance seems to be winning the race in all 3 categories (subscribers, posts, and comments).
Very cool shape. That rug steals the show, though.
Nice build, my strat is a similar partscaster type build. My pickups are fender custom shop Texas special that I bought back in high school 20 years ago because I wanted to be Stevie Ray Vaughan lol
I agree, there’s no technical reason to have two guitar communities, and yeah we’re all getting used to how this federated universe works. When I checked yesterday there were no guitar communities, but that could also be because I didn’t know how to search the entire fediverse properly. No hard feelings at all if this one doesn’t work out, I just want to talk about guitars with cool peeps.
Oh, and yeah, whatever prevails, prevails. I tried to make one myself a few days ago, but beehaw just kept failing out on me. Not sure if they just let anyone make a community or if it’s more of a process.
Whatever. R/guitars was my favorite place on the internet, and I just want to help rebuild that here
Yeah, they were my direct inspiration for making this
