Yesterday there was an article by CNN saying they didn’t see any proof of the claims by the IDF. Is there now proof or is the National Post just repeating what the IDF says? I read the article but it didn’t provide any clarity…
The National Post is literally just repeating what Israeli army spokespeople are saying. Like, almost the entire article is sourced from the Israeli army:
the Israel Defense Forces said … the IDF statement said … The IDF said … the IDF confirmed … the army said in a statement …The military’s statement added …
Also, if you look at the byline, the article was written by
Pesach Benson, Jewish News Syndicate
Media bias / fact check for Jewish News Syndicate:
Overall, We rate the Jewish News Syndicate as Right-Center biased based on its editorial position in support of the Israeli government. We also rate them Mixed for factual reporting due to poor sourcing techniques and the promotion of one-sided propaganda.
Since the article comes from a source with a heavy pro-Israeli bias, and only quotes what the Israeli military is claiming, I would treat it with extreme scepticism.
On the other hand, the CNN article seems much more reliable: they report what the military is claiming; they report the different ways they attempted to independently fact-check what the military is claiming; they note where they were unable to independently fact-check the army and why (usually Israeli army interference); and they note where they were able to successfully fact-check the Israeli army claims, how they proceeded with the fact-check, and what the results of the fact-check were (usually there was no basis for the Israeli claims).
They also said it is underneath the hospital. It seems like the center is moving quickly underground to collect falling bombed.
Can we tell that this wasn’t staged by the IDF to justify their ongoing war?
“The IDF said the shaft was one kilometer long and 20 meters below the cemetery,”
Wow, that is a construction project, and at 20 meters, I could see that as being TECHNICALLY under the cemetery, but 66 feet under makes it it’s own entity.
Well, this certainly justifies all the Palestinian cemeteries Isreali authorities have defiled, uprooted and built housing over, as well as all the supposed Hamas barracks in literally all of the Palestinian hospitals that have been bombed to smithereens…
Wait, no it doesn’t.
CNN asked to see it and the IDF said no.
Surely we can trust them on their word :)
It doesn’t matter… In this conflict, whatever you say will be said to fake news and lies by the other side.
Denial is always the first refuge.
