Obviously, the major news of the week for TNA was Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace appearing and wrestling in the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble bout. We are told this was an overture made by WWE to TNA. One WWE source believes it was a Paul Levesque idea. We are told the deal came together really quickly as a way for WWE to surprise everyone with an “outside the box idea.” There were no TNA officials backstage at the Rumble event as Scott D’Amore was on the Chris Jericho Cruise. TNA official Tommy Dreamer was in Tampa over the weekend for SiriusXM’s Busted Open but was not at the Rumble. Grace teased there would be more TNA/WWE crossover in the future but we have not heard if there is any definitive plans. Grace was absolutely excellent in the Rumble and blew a lot of people in WWE away.
I hope she’s right about more crossover between them because she posted a picture of herself with Rhea Ripley backstage holding their titles and my first thought was the Tony Khan meme… BOOK IT!
Do you have this picture?
I got ya https://imgur.com/a/zUkajqQ
Thanks you a real one
Same lol. Both white belts side by side looked good (I mean they did too but…)
@GeekFTW such a great surprise!
Indeed!
“outside the box idea.”
They did it 2 years ago
That’s awesome.
I know Gisele has a title shot, but it’d be cool for someone from WWE to stop by for a match like Thunder Rosa did before.
My biggest concern would be WWE using it as a way to dissolve TNA eventually
I’d like to assume D’amore is smart enough to be able to keep em at arms length when it comes to anything aside from talent exchanges and the like, but who knows.
Pretty interesting that WWE was the one who reached out first. And they did a great job of making Jordynne look like an ass kicker.
