The big subreddit protest of 2023 has Reddit right at the end of its rope. The company is reportedly handing out notices of a Thursday deadline to the biggest subs that still remain private, telling them they need to offer a reopening plan, or else they’ll do… something.
Wait until they realize they’ve been using free labor and they try moderating subs themselves, or they try to use AI to moderate.
Lmao I would LOVE to see them try to moderate subs using ML. It would very predictably cause the quality of Reddit overall to drop precipitously to “Facebook” status.
In the bigger subs it’s already facebook tier content. But to be fair, smaller subs were still okay. (With Sync pro)
