so many other factors to throw in as well – not getting enough vacation time to be able to use anything other than airplanes – the realization on the last day just how pointless the job you’re going back to is …
That’s a hugely relevant point, especially in the US. It’s so much longer, and not cheaper either, to travel by rail for farther trips and planes keep winning out on the convenience factor because we don’t get enough vacation time for a 3 day amtrak ride.
Over past few years vacations in summer starting to make less and less sense. Also more countries should introduce siestas.
