You need to declutter the shit out of your place.
Oh I know. With how expensive rent is we got a 2 bedroom townhouse apartment. We gave the kids the bedrooms and we took the dining room. But that means no closets or storage nooks for anything. So it’s hard to keep everything organized. The crazy part is that we pay $1800 a month to live like this.
I was gonna say “let me guess, you’re in NYC?” until I saw “we pay $1800/month”.
lol Nah, we live in Birmingham, Al. It’s a crazy place where you have the richest town in Alabama and at least at one point the second richest town in the south. Surrounded by an area that is incredibly impoverished. As a matter of fact according to this website and many others. We were number 3 in the nation for murders per capita, and are usually in the top 5.

Thats all to say that if you want a safe place to live in the city. You have to pay an outrageous amount of money to live among the wealthy. We are surrounded by multimillion dollar homes. We live in the cheap apartments here, and we could live so much cheaper, but we have a special needs kid that’s in school. So, if you want good education especially special needs. Live with the rich people. My kid goes to one of the best schools in Alabama. Which I realize is like saying I work at the best chemical factory in Bangladesh. But ya do what can hehehe.
Heh, definitely sounds like a tough position to be in! I’m down in Miami (Brickell) and while the rent is the same as when I lived in NYC the quality of life is a hell of a lot better!
I’ve heard good things about Miami, but Florida is cursed for me. I’ve lived there a few times and it always goes poorly for me. Like really bad.
The first time I lived in Florida my mom died. I was 7. The last time I lived in Florida my first wife made me go to a going away party for one of her coworkers at a bar. When we got there the coworker was too drunk, and as luck would have it underage. She was passed out in the women’s bathroom. I went in and scooped her up put her in my car. Drove her home and tucked her in, and got back in my car.
That’s when I realized that something smelled bad in my car. See that chick was wearing a miniskirt. My wife told me that when she had passed out she was taking a shit and forgot to pull her panties down. I turned on the dome light to see poop in my backseat and a spot on my knee where I had boosted her up into my arms. The chick did detail my car and make fresh chocolate chip cookies for us. I didn’t eat them.
That was just one of the many heinous things that happened while I was there last time. Like, I love adventure, and have tons of stories. But, Florida gets exhausting, even for me.
Sucks to hear about your mom, but the second one you brought upon yourself 😄 The Florida Man stories definitely exist for a reason. I’m at least in the upscale area of Miami (across the Miami River from Downtown Miami) and haven’t seen any literal or figurative shit shows in the month I’ve been there. Someone did rob a place at gunpoint though two nights ago about two blocks from me.
Heh, It’s true Florida man and woman do exist. Plus, these were panhandle Florida people. Which I also think it makes it worse.
Well, anyway I hope you have a great thanksgiving.
i’m waiting for the camelback iv system
that and i’m inventing a vape pen that hits water vapor only
Imma invent a camelback with a vape pen and a little speaker that plays f*ckboy music - aight - here’s my insta @aol.com
Is it just me or does the water of these always taste disgusting? Tap water is so much better where I live.
They probably need to be cleaned. Most people don’t think about it, but these things are mildew magnets.
Most of them have an overly rusty, slightly bitter taste I really dislike. Same goes for many mineral waters.
Sounds like a cleanliness problem
So, this has an ice maker, and it recycles the melted ice back into the drinking water. That makes it taste like melted ice which is less than ideal, but I’ve decided that the next time I put a jug on there I’m leaving the ice maker off. Other than that it has a pretty good taste. I paid extra to get one that is supposedly made from actual “food grade components” hopefully that actually means something.
But yeah before the melted ice is injected back in the water has a great taste.
I’m the opposite.
Water quality from a good water cooler… Crisp! Then it’s sink water post filter. A few other brands. Like Fiji.
Then all the way at the bottom, Dasani.
I like using declutter over saying “clean up”. Declutter has a positive message somehow where I dread to clean up.
My man where you live?
I’m pretty sure they hit the wrong reply button:
This is like the inverse of those old AI-generated images, where it looks normal, but you can’t name anything in the image.
If you look just on the left of that glamorous machine, I think you still have a little bit of space left for more clutter :D jk ofc
Your bed? Why your bed???
He sleeps in a tent under a bridge it seems
Water under the bridge, one might say
Birmingham, Alabama. Our water is pretty good quality I think. I like the taste of it, but I am intensely lazy. So, now I don’t even have to go to the kitchen for cold water.
Show us pictures with the water cooler in the bed.
Hehehe If I remember next time I refill it. I got you.
Dude buys a machine for hundreds of dollars to drink water. Wait until someone tells him there are bottles.
It was $270 because it’s restaurant grade. This baby can produce almost 30 lbs of ice in a 24hr period. It does cold and hot water. So, you can have tea or instant coffee on demand if that’s your thing. It’s not my thing so I leave the hot water function turned off.
But, the problem with bottles is that I can’t grab a cold bottle of water without getting out of bed. I can literally sit on the edge of my bed, and pour a nice cold cup of water.
Modern life is all about conveniences. Before this I had gotten in the habit of getting a big cup of ice and pulling sodas from the 12 pack in my bedroom. I needed water access that was more convenient than that. Hence I bought a water source for the bedroom.
I went with a britta style but I have to top it off every 3 days.
I went through 5 gallons in a week. I have a place down the street that has a Primo refill station. I think it’s $.50 to refill a jug. I just got this so I haven’t refilled them yet.
But the Brittas are nice. I had a zero like 2 gallon container, but my kids kept emptying it and not refilling it. So, that’s another reason I got this. It has really been nice for the whole family, but mainly me because I’m actively cutting out sodas.
