    I highly doubt that anyone working at Toyota is here, but this is caused by a union not even at your company. Imagine what they will do if you were with the UAW.

      I think it’s kinda bad. This is a “look, you got something, so you don’t need to form or join a union, please?” type of raise.

      I hope the Toyota employees don’t fall for it

        Depends on whether Toyota workers were as underpaid as UAW, and they always have the right to strike for more if they want to.

        That’s exactly how it works. Capitalism reacts to threats of loss, it’s up to the workers to decide if that is enough. Sometimes it is, sometimes it’s not. But this is exactly what should be happening regardless.

      Unfathomably based, actually. Hopefully this is a taste for the non-union employees to group up and push it further by joining the union or forming their own.

    I read it as “UAV strike”, and thought the workers had brought the big guns to the negotiating table.
