Take solace that no matter how bad your relationships have ended. You didn’t have to sort out beanie babies in front of a judge, bailiff, YOUR LAWYER and hers, and like a dozen people in an audience, on the clamels that one day ONE of these might be valuable.

Too bad we as a species didn’t learn our lesson, but people today fall for blockchain scams.

ty beanies are infinitely less of a scam than crypto too. even if your beanie baby was worth nothing, at least you still had a physical stuffed animal that you can wipe your tears with. wtf are people doing with their Google drive hosted jpeg?

That’s NFT. Not quite the same thing. Built on crypto tech, sure, but just a subset of the tech and how it ended up used was very much a scam.

You also don’t own the picture. You own the space on the blockchain that points to that picture, maybe.

There’s always some “collector” items than people have to have. Just look at some of the Funko Pop collections people have on Reddit.

I’m waiting for one with Funko Pops… but a lot deal in the 3 digits already and some 4 digits too. Try to find the whole collection of Futurama or Firefly in mint boxes!
