I was moving my (new to me) boat from Portsmouth, NH to Harpswell, ME. About 3nm out of Portsmouth the raw water pump stopped pumping so my crew got the sails up while I pulled the water pump off the engine. After about an hour of diagnostics we determined the water pump was toast, but fortunately the wind grew from behind and we decided to go for it. An 11 hour motor turned into a 15+ hour sail, but with a tow for the last 3nm we made it onto my mooring before the light failed.
