I’ve been trying to log in to use Avelon for a few days now, on both the app store and TestFlight builds, and both give the pictured error.

Guest accounts work fine, and this error happens with four different accounts on four different Lemmy instances. I can log into all of these accounts in other apps (currently posting this from Voyager).

(By the way there is definitely a password in there when I press the button, I think my phone just hid it for the screenshot)

    I’m fairly certain this happened to me before and uninstalling then reinstalling the app fixed it for me.

    Hi, I’ve finally figured out the problem you’re facing. There’s a bug where an account could sometimes be partially added because it failed mid-login earlier. The next time you try to log in the app would think the account was already there, and then fail to add it again.

    If there’s an account in your account list, try removing and adding it again, as this might solve the issue. If that does not work there’s unfortunately no other way than reinstalling atm. A bug fix is ready and will be included in the next version!
