I hate how PS5 has all these incredible exclusives and yet Microsoft is being sued to prevent them from buying Activision. Of the 2 companies, Sony is the anti competitive one.

Sony is making a push to put their games on PC, it’s Microsoft we should be afraid of. They’re closing in on being a AAA monopoly by housing tens of popular companies and making them create exclusive content.

If Microsoft have a more favorable position I guarantee they’ll use scummier tactics.

Microsoft has almost 28x the market cap of Sony. It’s by all metrics one of the largest companies on Earth, it shouldn’t be at all surprising they catch the eye of regulators more than Sony.

Not defending Sony, but Microsoft has a lot advantages of their own. MS is already a massive company. So big that they make Sony look small by comparison. They also own and operate a state-of-the-art cloud platform in Azure. That’s not something Sony can compete with.

You also have to credit Sony for making the most of their first party studios and franchises. This is something Microsoft has really failed to do well over the last couple of generations, and probably contributes more to their number 3 position than anything else.
