The Continuing Resolution that narrowly passed in the house Tuesday is heading for a Senate vote. It contains no guardrails for DOGE and expands presidential discretion in funding allocations, completely removing any congressional oversight for the next 6 months. Dems are the opposition party and it is time for them to start acting like it. There is no point in trying to placate Republicans to avoid a shutdown - DOGE is already shutting down the government, and even the Feds on reddit are in support of a shutdown because it will wake up the average politically-unengaged American to the complete mismanagement of our government. Yes, a shut down will have economic consequences, but feeling those consequences is going to be the only thing that is going to turn voters against Trump.

Republicans need 8 Dems to join them to pass the CR. Fetterman has said he is going to vote for it, while Rand Paul has said he will vote No. Please call your Senators now and urge them to vote No - the 5 calls app makes is super easy!
