Really looking forward to this one. Currently trying to convince my wife that she should watch the first season after we finish Trigun.

Anyone know how long this one is? I’m curious to know whether Season 2 is likely to finish the story.
I think it is 2 cours, which should be enough for the next major arc.
No not even close. The first season adapted only 2 volumes of the light novel which has currently 15 volumes.
I believe the source light novels are still being published (currently 15 volumes it looks like). I am an anime-only, so I don’t know if this upcoming season might end at a satisfying point or not though if the anime concludes.
Oh, I don’t care that much about whether the season comes to its own satisfying conclusion. I was mostly wondering this because I was considering maybe picking up the light novels when I have the time.
I haven’t read the light novels but I think the first season ends at the end of the second volume as the penultimate chapter is “Balsam and Woodsorre”.
There are 12 English translated and 15 Japanese novels so based on the first season, season 2 may cover volumes 3 + 4 leaving 5-12?
