So that means Israel will cease their genocide, right?
Nah, the good thing about killing the leader is that there’s always the next one to go after. So don’t worry, they’ll bomb more babies.
No, until the United States intervenes, but now it is in elections.
Now get Netanyahu and Gallant for killing 30,000 Palestinians and we might see peace.
Israel was never interested in peace.
Yikes, very NSFW pic of a corpse in that article.
I didn’t know Sinwar was even in Gaza. Wasn’t he hiding in Qatar?
Nope, he was always in Gaza.
Mousa abu Marzouk and Khaled Mashaal are the ones in Qatar (and previously, Haniyeh).Ah, thanks for clarifying.
Sinwar has been hiding in the tunnels for years. He doesn’t use a phone and very rarely goes above ground, making him very hard to track.
With today’s technology and intelligent, anyone can be tracked. Anyone. Anywhere.
Israel has been trying to get Sinwar for years, I think he did a pretty solid job hiding all things considered
Until he didn’t. And there is also an element of luck in this subject.
I guess if you bomb every square inch of Gaza with complete disregard for anyone in the way, you’re bound to get him eventually…
Israeli propaganda. He got taken out in fatigues fighting Israel with his last breath in Gaza, throwing a stick at a drone, surrounded by the rubble of a battlefield.
Hopefully now a better future for Palestinians and Israelis is ahead.
Once the leader who murdered 30,000 Palestinian civilians is brought to justice, maybe.
1 died, 10 others will be born. This will continue until the Palestinians have their land and rights back.
Having their land includes the depopulation of all the jews in Israel? Coz that’s what Palestinians in Gaza are advocating for, and I don’t see that happening anytime soon (or ever).
It never has. It means equal rights for Palestinians
Equal rights as in inside of Israel? As in 1 state solution? No way can they live without murdering each other at this point.
Inside of historic Palestine, yes. Zionism has been the obstacle to peace as far back as British Occupation. Works by Ilan Pappe and Avi Schlaim, two Israeli historians, can discuss why the One-State Solution is the only real solution. The foreign affairs article also does a good job detailing why
Peace Process and Solution
Both Hamas and Fatah have agreed to a Two-State solution based on the 1967 borders for decades. Oslo and Camp David were used by Israel to continue settlements in the West Bank and maintain an Apartheid, while preventing any actual Two-State solution

‘One state is a game changer’: A conversation with Ilan Pappe
One State Solution, Foreign Affairs
Hamas proposed a full prisoner swap as early as Oct 8th, and agreed to the US proposed UN Permanent Ceasefire Resolution. Additionally, Hamas has already agreed to no longer govern the Gaza Strip, as long as Palestinians receive liberation and a unified government can take place.
During the current war, Hamas officials have said that the group does not want to return to ruling Gaza and that it advocates for forming a government of technocrats to be agreed upon by the various Palestinian factions. That government would then prepare for elections in Gaza and the West Bank, with the intention of forming a unified government.
Nice straw man. Conservatives always think everyone is as ghoulish as them
the depopulation of all the jews in Israel [is] what Palestinians in Gaza are advocating for
That’s exactly as true and accurate as saying that “The Jews in Israel are advocating for the ethnic cleansing of all the Arabs from Eretz Yisrael”. Such a phrase of course is antisemitic as fuck, and no reasonable person would say it. Just like your phrase is racist/anti-palestinian as fuck. Which makes me think you’re not a reasonable person.
Yeah I wrote that poorly. Of course not all Gazans want the expulsion of all Jews out of Israel. I meant the Palestinian authority in Gaza - that is Hamas - is advocating for that.
Until some other authority rises up in Gaza (or forced to be there, like putting Fatah there), I don’t see an end to this conflict.

This is simply a statement of fact: “Palestinians say drone footage shows Sinwar’s ‘heroic’ final moments in Gaza”.
This is not how peace will come. “You can do many things with bayonets except sit on them.” ~ Talleyrand
Remember kids, you already know what Palestine without Hamas looks like: is the apartheid regime of the West Bank!
I guess the zios finally justified 75+ years of genocide. \s

Comments full of NAFO-Zionist cope. Sinwar, Haniyeh, and every last Hamas leader can be vaporised and a thousand more will fill their places. Hezbollah has continued to repel Israeli invasions into Lebanon, and Israel continues its suicidal death cult genocide despite its ‘victories’.
All while self fellating about this somehow meaning the end of Russia? Get the fuck over yourselves, Ukraine had a chance at a peace deal and it got ratfucked by NATO, so now Zelensky is begging for nukes whilst funnelling every last reservist into the collapsing Kursk salient. If you want peace, it won’t be negotiated on American terms in either theatre.
Lemmy dot World is truly the most Reddit place outside of Reddit.
Israel will continue to vaporize whomever steps into their place.
And Hezbollah is getting their asses kicked in Lebanon. Even the IDF is shocked at how quickly they’ve made progress. There are reports that captured Hezbollah fighters have admitted they lost their will to fight after Nasrallah was killed. Generals fled.
STOP SAYING “LEADER” AS IF THERE IS ONE
Sorry… Hamas doesn’t have a leader? How do they organize anything? They used to run a country before Israel invaded it.
My point is that the headline should read “another Hamas leader” or something to indicate that there is more than one.
But he’s a leader whether or not there is more than one leader. So the headline is accurate.
I mean yes but AFAIK Yahya Sinwar is/was the top Hamas guy in Gaza.
You mean the de-facto leader of (what’s left of) Hamas up until a day ago?
How did Hamas come to exist in the first place?
My friend, you can either google it, or I can Google it for you if you want.
Watch is on the wrong wrist.
