gnome rule I daily drove gnome for a while until I got a computer with a 1440p screen, then I had to switch to KDE for functioning fractional scaling

The computer I took the screenshot on has fractional scaling enabled, it’s a HiDPI screen. I really only run into the issues with blur for certain XWayland apps, but I think Plasma only came out with an experimental fix for that in 5.26 or 5.27

Probably, I was subbed to unixporn on Reddit. I’m not posting my vanilla-ass desktop there though. Maybe if I move to Hyprland or something I might.

I wouldn’t sweat it. When I was new to Linux I used all kinds of desktops themes for inspiration. Whatever your set up there’s a good chance someone will appreciate it

No you misunderstand, because I leave my desktop so vanilla I don’t really see the point in posting. It’s not that I don’t think it looks good (if I didn’t I don’t think I would be using it), it’s that unixporn is meant for showing off your customizations, which I don’t have many of. Tiling Assistant Blur my Shell, and Black Box terminal are really the only major differences between my setup and vanilla.
