Thats the brilliance of it; he ran an inpopular platform intended to help the rich get richer and simultaneously fought a culture war that gained him the support of the massive, white, rural, uneducated class.

A side anecdote: I have an acquatance of a friend who is both Brown, and a Trump Supporter - I was baffled and couldn’t understand why they would support an openly racist candidate.

Well, turned out they were from a family of Old money out of Dubai and Trumps tax and business policies put in place GREATLY assisted their family real estate company. I think they tripled their revenue in 4 years, but i’m not entirely certain - I’ve just picked it up through context.

At the end of the day money talks. You could be completely against Trump’s rhetoric but I know people who held their nose and voted for him due to the breaks

Bingo. They didn’t give a flying fuck about his racist policies because they were raking it in

has somehow convinced rural uneducated retards

What a terrible way to refer to other people. I’m sure using language like this surely convinces them otherwise.

Dumb people at least have an excuse.

The smart people who support Trump clearly know that he’s an evil and corrupt fascist moron bitchpig, and that makes them even worse.

He claims to hate the same people they hate. He was a Democrat until he decided to run as a Republican.

“In many cases, I probably identify more as Democrat,” Trump told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer in a 2004 interview. “It just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans. Now, it shouldn’t be that way. But if you go back, I mean it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats.” - Donald Trump

Whether or not he really hates them is anyone’s guess. Personally, I think that after his foray in birther-land, he realized that Republican voters would like it if he dropped the mask and let his racism shine through. Now he just spews hate at anyone right wing voters hate and they lap it up.

I don’t doubt that his hate is genuine. He’s subject to the same brain rot as every other boomer who spends all day parked in front of Fox News.

Ultimately, they’re useful idiots for each other.

Trump pandered to get the votes. The voters knew they were being pandered to, and went with it willingly. There were several interesting times where Trump tried to not be batshit crazy, and they full ass ignored him.

He’s only their messiah as long as he functions as a mirror for them to see themselves in power.

See, the conservatives are absolutely right, Trump is being treated unfairly! If you or I had done that we would have been laying bloody on a cell floor after “tripping” and “falling” several times the very same day it happened. The fact that he gets to live in a mansion in palm beach until proven guilty proves without a doubt that he isn’t being treated the same way as the rest of us, which would be fair.

Well thats how privilege woks in the US, if you got the money and the right color skin you can avoid charges for literally any crime for an indefinite period. Even these upcoming trials, Im pretty sure trump will be able to push them back and avoid them till 5 or more years go by, then he’ll be way to old to put into jail or some insane right wing president will pardon him for all of it, or some insane fake judge that he appointed will drop all the charges… etc, etc, etc

I still doubt he will ever do any real jail time for all these crimes. If he does it will be a miracle.

While I appreciate the updates, can we get accurate titles? There’s a zero percent chance Trump said “I expect an indictment in election probe.” Not nearly enough capitalization and exclamation points, and far too much correct grammar. I want to know what he actually said, then maybe add a translation in parentheses afterward.

Even if he gets arrested, the Supreme Court dictators will declare him innocent. America is fucked.

From what ive seen so far indictment is what rich people get instead of what regular people get when criminally charged. No arrest or jail time involved.
