zerofk@lemmy.zipto Technology@lemmy.world•YouTube just quietly blocked Adblock Plus — the internet hasn't noticed yet, but I've found a workaroundEnglish8·11 days agothere is one ad blocker that still works. Two words: uBlock Origin.
Vivaldi without any plugins also works. No ads. And I’m sure there are many more possible configurations. This article reads like the author thinks there’s only two browsers and two ad blockers.
Have you ever had fresh walnuts? You can peal off the skin, which is the bitter part. The off-white inside is quite sweet. They have to be quite fresh - once they dry out a bit they’re unpealable (that isn’t a word according to my spellcheck, but screw that guy, I’m making it a word).

I guess that’s what they meant by “great again”.
zerofk@lemmy.zipto Technology@lemmy.world•Rule34 blocked the UK entirely rather than comply due to the new law.English7·28 days agoAh Lemmy, downvoting an honest question. Never change.
rule34.xxx is a website where users can post naughty drawings, renders, etc. of mostly anime or computer game characters. Think of your favourite character of your favourite anime, game, comic, etc. Chances are there’ll be images of them on there.

If only.

It’s fancy text completion - it does not have judgement.
The way he talks about it shows he still doesn’t understand that. It doesn’t matter that you tell it simmering in ALL CAPS because that is no different from any other text.
zerofk@lemmy.zipto Not The Onion@lemmy.world•Reddit users in the UK must now upload selfies to access NSFW subredditsEnglish17·1 month agoEven if you trust what they say about access and removal of identifying information (which I don’t), they admit they store the birthday. What purpose could that possibly have after confirming you’re an adult? Checking whether you’re becoming a minor again?

Shakespeare may have coined a lot of English words, but only Wallace can claim deez nuts.
zerofk@lemmy.zipto Mildly Infuriating@lemmy.world•captchas like these that don't tell you which part of the text you're supposed to inputEnglish4·1 month agoThe same image is shown to a lot of people. If a majority of people click on the same things, that is assumed to be the correct answer. And it is added to the training database. Occasionally you’ll get one that hasn’t been shown to enough people yet to know for sure. For those, they’ll usually accept any answer, even wildly incorrect ones. The thing is, you as a user never know which ones they already know and which they don’t.
Am programmer. Hate it.
Yes I’m a hot dawg for sure.
zerofk@lemmy.zipto Leopards Ate My Face@lemmy.world•Trump gets cooked by his own minionsEnglish1·1 month agoHonestly, it feels like we don’t care anymore. In the first Trump term he was in the news a lot, pointing out this out that idiotic thing he said. Now it’s a lot less, just occasionally pointing out how he’s changed his stance on these tariffs or that war once again.
When meetings are held between people from half a dozen countries spread over three continents, none of whom are speaking their native language and all using uncommon product and project names, then AI summaries are occasionally hilarious and nearly always wildly incorrect.
You must mean it will still be normal in 2010, which is the far future when we’ll have colonised Mars and use our flying cars to go home to our floating home in the clouds.
would be nice to see where you have exploded,
I don’t think it would be nice to see where people exploded, to be honest.
I know you’re talking about early access, but even released games aren’t finished anymore until months later.
