Yeah in the last week or so I’ve noticed an uptic in snark / downright rude responses compared to when I joined ~2 months ago
I hope the trend does not continue
Some libraries take book donations (either for adding to the collection, or for book sales), little free libraries (you can find local ones here), ‘Friends of the Library’ will sell them and donate the proceeds to the library, second hand book shops, thrift shops, charity shops, and of course there’s always throwing them out.
Hell yes. Long live libraries! (I’m 100% unbiased, being a librarian myself)
Love that the community came together to support the library, lgbtq+ rights, and the right to information.
Yeah the fidget aspect of these are great! And the ability to use it as a phone stand for watching videos is an extra bonus
Feel this. I’ve slowly gathered a more people than I expected (~60) on an ‘idlehands’ community for fidgets and skill toys, and I’m now hoping they migrate with me over to a new instance since I expect the .ml issue will be a problem (if not this time, going forward)
So, if anyone likes seeing fidgets and skill toys (begleri, chetki, knucklebones, yo-yos, etc) feel free to join over at: !idlehands@lemmy.blahaj.zone :)
Oh hell yeah. Thanks for starting it / sharing!
For sure!
Anything from FloppyLinksFidgets is great. I particularly like the ring of rollers
Charm City Fidgets and FidgetMeCrazy have cool ones too
This ring is pretty cool and the texture is nice
If you fancy paying a lot more, Fablades have awesome haptic sliders
If you want something more skill toy based, aroundsquare have an excellent selection of begleri and whatnot
And slightly unconventional, but I also really like kandi bracelets for fidgeting, particularly ones made with the square letter beads
I’m sure I’m forgetting some, so if I remember I’ll edit this comment with them :)
