You could maybe try disabling hardware acceleration in the chromium settings. That should stop the glitches hopefully!

I think if you wanted to avoid installing the entire set of plasma dependencies again (at least to your hyprland environment), you could theoretically stuff a minimal plasma install into a distrobox container/guest and export the needed krunner binaries back to the hyprland host/environment. The distrobox repo. has some more information that might help accomplish that. specifically export to the host and executing commands on the host may be of interest to you! ^ - ^
