Warum “nur von Mastodon mit einer Bridge herübergezogen”? Ist nicht eine der zentralen Fähigkeiten der ganzen AcitivityPub-Software, das eben genau ein Mastodon-Post auch in Lemmy auftauchen kann? Oder ist bei Lemmy da was anders?

This is just so hilarious and sad at the same time. For some context, the Swiss military had (after a lengthy and expensive process) selected the Gripen to replace its fleet of aging F18s. That decision was then overturned by the Swiss voters via a referendum, causing the whole process to restart and finally, years later, selecting the F35… and now we are back at square one I guess.

Who is left at this point? Japan and maybe India?

I’m not really into Matrix and not familiar with how it operates, but… over 14% of the yearly costs of the Foundation is the Executive Director salary, while server infrastructure in comparison is only 20%? And they need more money to run the home instance?

Have you read Livesuit? It‘s a short novella set in the same universe. Can highly recommend!
