good point. i also just found out i can migrate entire subscriptions lists between instances by exporting and importing from the settings menu in the browser. hopefully that helps somebody out, too

so, even on lemmy.world the instance hub in the far left tab only shows the communities I’ve either subscribed to or favorited or federated while using lemmy with a browser. we can’t browse the local instance communities. maybe that’s as-intended, i just thought it was worth mentioning because that’s something you can do while using lemmy in-browser
