As soon as I posted that, I realized the quote is different from the book title, which is why I deleted my comment. How strange that you could still see it to reply to it!

In case anyone else is like me and had no idea what “3D shooting” meant, it seems to refer to archery where the targets are 3 dimensional foam models, usually of game animals (rather than flat paper targets).
It’s not necessarily about being rich. You have an identity that can be abused to get stuff like credit and loans and open up accounts depending on what they can get. Obviously they’re not going to get THAT far with just a single recording of you saying “hello”, but I want to dispel the myth that only the rich are targeted by scammers
Skeeved by it, got it, thanks! My pedantry for spelling was overriding my reading comprehension skills 😆

- why call it a shit pusher? It doesn’t push shit
- why post online instead of just talking to her? Unless you’re doing both
- why did she not just rinse it off? What’s the point in deep cleaning a plunger when it’s going back into a toilet eventually anyways?
I’m a little fucking skeevee to buy it
- maybe it’s just me, but I can’t figure out what this means. You’re too skeeved out to buy the fact that it was ok to do?
You might be confusing one particular instance for the entirety of Lemmy
I don’t think it takes empathy to notice that someone is not smiling. It does take a controlling personality to tell them to smile, though.
Thanks, I guess I missed that. I didn’t see any mention of YouTube. For anyone else who is curious, here’s a playlist of theirs of long aquarium videos

I’m trying to find the videos on their site- perhaps it’s because I’m on mobile but it just looks like a storefront to me (product listings, descriptions, cart, etc.)
junkthiefto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is something you never understood the hype for?English9·19 days agoI enjoy watching and chatting in smaller streams sometimes (like, a couple hundred in the chat at the MOST, usually < 100), it’s still parasocial, but tends to be WAY more chill. If it’s a stream with thousands of people, I don’t see the point in chatting, it’s passive entertainment at that point for me, personally!

junkthiefto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What kind of communities would you like to see either created or become more active on Lemmy?English5·22 days agoYou’re right, I’m bringing reddit into the picture where it was not even mentioned, I apologize. I meant to clarify that they’re usually referred to as “communities” and not “subLemmy” but did so in an unnecessarily snarky way.

A great realization that I had was that many of my language pet peeves were really preferences and not hard and fast rules. Language constantly evolves, regardless of how any one person feels. Clinging to my pet peeves was really just a form of elitism.
You didn’t defile anything, if anything you fulfilled why they would have wanted their ashes scattered in that vicinity. They likely enjoyed that spot for the same reasons you did and would probably be glad that you found it too
