As for testing, I think there’s a distinction to be made between products produced by a company that tested them and products produced that use components that have been tested in the past. Humans have inacted much cruelty on animals and other humans in the name of progress, and it would be foolish to not use the knowledge obtained from that, but it would also be foolish to award the perpetrators of those tests. There is also nuance if it is a survival situation and there isn’t a feasible alternative, like with some medicines. Another reason to be against drug patents.

Genre satire is different than political satire in that most people who make it often do so out of love for the genre not hated.
