Otherwise, dataclasses.
I also like to replace tuples with NamedTuple, but I tend to use tuples a lot in the first place. It’s generally recommended to use dataclasses instead if you don’t specifically need tuple-like behavior.
Looks good to me!
On controller you just target the boss, press the context menu button (it’s the square button on PlayStation controllers, like how you open your map), and select Focus Target.
It’s helpful on other jobs too. If you’re targeting adds in a fight, for example. I’d say it’s especially helpful for tanks, SMN, and RDM. As RDM I’m often helping to raise people and not targeting the boss.
Lezcubus’s advice is great, but let me add a tip. You mentioned castbars, but there’s a castbar you should be focusing on: the boss’s castbar! Always know what the boss is casting, because that’s an important part of mechanics. You can adjust the target HP/castbar to make it easier to notice, or even split out the target castbar and move it around/make it bigger independently of the rest. And if you need to target other players often (as a healer, for example), you can Focus Target the boss and have their castbar up even if you’re targeting a player instead.

Kudos! Glad to hear things are working out.
I’d recommend Bazzite. It’s a gaming-focused immutable distro. The base system is an image and updates are automatic; a 13-year old might already be familiar with this kind of system because it’s similar to how Chromebooks work. It comes with Steam and Lutris preinstalled. You can install additional software via flatpak.
Code written in Rust has been shown to have significantly fewer security vulnerabilities than code written in C. Distributions like Ubuntu ship a lot of security updates, so by switching to Rust-based utils, they can reduce their workload in the long run.

Congrats!
How do the hunts compare to other games in the series? I haven’t played a lot of XIII, but I really enjoyed getting 100% hunts in XV and XVI, and I’m on the big XIV hunt achievement grind now. I’m sure I’ll want to 100% the hunts in XII whenever I get around to finishing it, too.
arjache@fedia.ioto Linux@lemmy.world•In 2025, what features do you want in a terminal emulator? (that currently aren't widely available or at all)2·9 months agoI use iTerm’s tmux integration all the time and would find it incredibly difficult to switch to another terminal emulator that doesn’t have it.
That sounds really frustrating!
I will say that at endgame, the Hector lecture videos are considered the gold standard for guide videos and tend to be the most commonly used PF strats, and those videos do actually explain the mechanics in detail, with diagrams of how the attacks go out. So while I hope your relationship with your static improves, or you find a better one, once you reach endgame, you should hopefully have a better chance at learning the mechanics either way.
arjache@fedia.ioto FFXIV@lemmy.world•New Adventurer starter pack comes with Menphina Earrings (30% XP @ below lv.80)2·11 months agoI think this is the first time they’ve offered an XP earring for sale outside of a preorder bonus!
It seems like a pretty good deal for new players who joined at the beginning of an expansion cycle and would otherwise have to wait 1-2 years for the next preorder earring.
It’s also one cent cheaper than a fantasia, includes a fantasia, and is account-wide, so for a new player who already went through their two free fantasias and is looking to buy another one, it’d be better to buy this instead.
arjache@fedia.ioto No Man's Sky@lemmy.world•Getting back into it after years (early 2021 I think), what now?3·1 year agoTechnology and cargo are now completely separate inventories, so any technology you had installed in your general inventory needs to be reinstalled in your technology inventory.
As a way of compensating for this nerf, they also added supercharged slots, which provide a buff to the technology installed in that slot. These are randomly laid out. Higher class equipment has more supercharged slots, but you may need to add slots to uncover all of the supercharged slots.
Congrats on the achievement! Slowly approaching that one myself.
White Mage is a lot of fun at higher levels. My main healer jobs are Scholar for dungeons and Sage for raiding so I don’t often play it, but I love Swiftcast Holy + Assize.
I didn’t do a lot this week, but I did do a lot of S rank hunts! Also completed all of Stormblood crafting leves — I’m slowly working my way backwards to 100% leve completion.
