FWIW, I think Finding Paradise is even better than To The Moon. Highly recommended.
To The Moon. Barely a game, the dialogue can be really cheesy in places. But dang, I’ve thought about the ending to that game probably monthly for over a decade. The sequels are an incredible continuation of the story as well.

I deleted my comment because I misread yours and thought you didn’t like the combat. I miss the intricate, interconnected design of the older Souls games as well. I hope they bring back more of it in the future!
Callieto Transfem•Anyone else just... never go through the legal name change process? Its been like 7 years since I came out and I still haven't bothered with it.8·2 years agoI didn’t think I was going to want to, but as I start to pass more I started to hate getting deadnamed or misgendered when using my credit card/license/accounts. But if I knew how much work it was going to be when I started I probably would have put it off longer!

Callieto Gaming@beehaw.org•Whats a game that everybody seems to love that you cant stand for one reason or another?3·2 years agoReturn of the Obra Dinn. I adore puzzle mystery games, but I can’t stand the art style and it felt like I was constantly fighting the mechanics and interface.
Also Inscryption. Often the cards would purposely not explain their mechanics, but I would use it and it would do something unexpected and one bad decision often would cause me to lose. I usually love deck builders like that but it was so frustrating to feel like I was being punished for trying new things.
I really enjoyed how silly the original Phoenix Wright trilogy was but got frustrated with how unintuitive and weird some of the solutions and right answers in court were. Do these games improve on that at all?
I hadn’t been following the CEO’s behavior. The rest sounds excellent, I’d kill for a decent mobile app. My single greatest frustration with roam is the glacial loading speed on mobile since I’m usually using it to hastily type a note while out doing other things. Thank you for the rundown, I’ll definitely be looking into switching over.
Can you describe what you like about Obsidian vs Roam? You’re not the first person I’ve heard say they switched.
Been using Roam on and off for a while. A friend of mine calls it her exocortex and I’ve been feeling similarly. As someone with ADHD it’s so nice to be able to offload a bunch of mental overhead to a place where I can just review it later without having to struggle to recall what I wanted to remember!
DougDoug is my recent favorite! He consistently has some really unique and creative ways to play games, videos are tightly edited, and he’s funny af. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClyGlKOhDUooPJFy4v_mqPg
I love the community feel of joining an instance related to my identity. There’s something a little romantic to me about exploring the fediverse from my home base of a cute little pod of trans people. And also more practically, I trust in our ability to defederate from the hate. The idea of creating a friendly, welcoming place for queer folks and having the power to sanitize our own space sold me on lemmy/foss/federation instantly.
