Captain Burnham and the U.S.S. Discovery are sent to retrieve a mysterious 800-year-old Romulan vessel; until the artifact hidden inside is stolen, leading to an epic chase. Meanwhile, Saru is offered the position of a lifetime, and Tilly’s efforts to help pull her into a tangled web of secrecy.
I just realized that an 800 year-old Romulan vessel would place its origin in the 2390s…
What happened in the 2390s?
That setting is the rough timeframe that precedes the first season of “Picard,” with the Romulan supernova, the attack on Mars, and various other events of that nature being relatively recent history.
Trek Central has also provided a picture of what is probably the Romulan ship described in the synopsis.
Also, TrekCore has compiled some shots of what appears to the be interior:
Looks like the scout ship from TNG.
Agreed - its shape is nearly identical.
Sounds like the Trekkiest Disco season synopsis since 2019. Glad to hear Tilly hasn’t entirely retired to teaching duty!
I stopped after season 2. It was the only Star Trek show ever I disliked. Is it worth it to revisit or has it been more of the same?
It got even worse in my opinion.
That’s just about when it got a bit more watchable.
Temper your expectations and it’s perfectly enjoyable.
So basically Crisis Point II?
