I think it’d be interesting to know what builds people have tried out so far and how it’s gone!
I started out with the comfy EA ballista totems and after that moved on to poison penance brand pathfinder. It’s kinda cool but you’re definitely fighting against the ramping, both the brand’s ramping and poison’s natural ramping so even though PoB says its hitting DoT cap it doesn’t quite feel that way.
Still, it’s super fun to open a giga juiced essence where the monster gets duplicated, attach a brand to both, and watch the explosions overlap to melt them both almost instantly.
I have played Inquisitor life RF but imo it scales worse than before. Still very enjoyable tho
Tornado shot is a blast(lol), I absolutely love it but the initial cost is highI played Inquis RF last league and it was very fun! That was my first ‘good’ league with lots of firsts (Maven for instance, my guild thinks I’m crazy for having done that on RF lol)
Some of the skill gems got hit pretty hard by the rebalancing decisions and I remember hearing that RF had it scaling nerfed pretty bad. I guess past a certain point it just kind of is what it is, but definitely still viable. I’m considering leveling a Marauder this league for the Chieftain RF Magic Find, but it might be a while before I get around to that for various reasons.
Never tried TShot but I’ve heard it’s very good once you have the budget for it. I wanna say that’s what our carry is using for MF group play sessions.
For solo play I decided to try out Hexblast mines and it’s been a blast (pun intended)! There’s a bunch of tech into it, but the Ralalesh boots and sandstorm visage alone go a very long way into buffing the damage. Lots of stuff just instantly dies at this point lol
I was able to farm my first Mageblood this league! I ran Destructive Play Shaper Guardian maps and Formed Invitations for most of the grind. Needless to say, it’s been a very successful league!
Also recently started dipping my toes in group play with an aurabot. I don’t know the extent of what’s gone into it but it was an absolute money sink on behalf of my guildies trying to get the build to not die doing wildwood-juiced 8-mod maps.
